Vastu Consultant in Lunglei

Vastu consultation for buildings in Lunglei

Lunglei, the main town of southern Mizoram, spreads across a ridge with houses stacked below the road and others perched above it. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi studies such buildings from a distance: she reads your plan and the compass bearing of the entrance, then talks you through the layout on video, as one optional perspective among several.

Matching the layout to daily routines

Vastu is a traditional way of reading how a building sits against the directions and how its rooms are arranged for daily living. It is offered here as a viewpoint you may weigh beside your family's wishes, your builder's advice and your church and community customs, never as something anyone must follow.

On a steep Lunglei plot the road often fixes the front of the house, so the talk usually begins with what can reasonably be adjusted indoors. Suggestions may concern which room serves as the sitting space, where the kitchen and water point sit, and how a storeroom is kept. Structural alterations are not the first step.

Houses on the ridges of southern Mizoram

Many Lunglei houses stand on retained terraces with concrete frames, corrugated sheet roofs and verandas facing the valley, while older homes use timber and bamboo on raised supports. Ground floors below the road often serve as stores or garages. Shops and small businesses gather along the bazaar lanes, and offices and guest houses occupy multi-storey blocks.

Families here may ask about rebuilding after a landslip scare, adding a floor above an existing one, or opening a shop front onto a sloping lane. Since Lunglei is a long way from Mumbai, the process is kept light: send a sketch, the compass reading and photographs, then meet on a video call at a time that suits your household.

Landslips on hill roads and monsoon rain

Southern Mizoram receives heavy monsoon rain, and hill roads can be cut by slips. Drainage, retaining walls and sound foundations matter far more than any directional idea, so Dr. Riddhe treats Vastu as a gentle layer placed over those practical safeguards.
