Vastu consultation for Sawantwadi properties
Sawantwadi is a small Sindhudurg town beside Moti Talav, with a royal palace, a hill called Narendra Dongar behind it and areca, coconut and cashew gardens around. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi reviews properties here online. You share a sketch, photographs and a compass reading, and she explains her observations on a video call.
Vastu for homes: layout, directions and daily use
Vastu is a way of reading a building through its directions, its entrances and the placement of its rooms, and then asking whether this works for the people living or working inside. In practice that means paying attention to kitchens, sleeping rooms, prayer corners and storage, as they are really used.
Dr. Riddhe prefers to try small adjustments first, such as changing the use of a room or shifting a work table, and raises building changes only when the situation truly calls for them. She explains the reasoning for each suggestion and does not frame any of it as a promise of results.
Konkan houses, gardens and craft workshops
Houses across the Sawantwadi area often follow Konkan lines: tiled sloping roofs, wide verandahs, laterite walls and a back yard with a well, banana plants or a coconut grove. Newer houses are built in concrete, with some flats near the town centre. Which way the front door faces and where the kitchen and well are positioned come up most.
Livelihoods shape the questions. Many families have orchards of areca, coconut and cashew, and some run homestays for visitors heading to Amboli or the Goa border. The town is known for its painted wooden toys and lacquerware, made in small workshops that raise questions about where artisans sit, how light falls and where stock is kept.
Humid Konkan weather and roof drainage
Sindhudurg gets a very heavy monsoon, and humidity stays high through much of the year. Roof drainage, wall dampness and airflow are everyday matters in Sawantwadi houses, and the Vastu reading takes them into account so that advice remains workable in a wet, green climate.

Residential Vastu Consultation
Flats, bungalows and row houses, for owners who are buying, moving in or living with a layout that does not feel right. The review covers the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, the centre of the home and how each room is used, and recommendations start with placement, colour and use of rooms rather than demolition.
Commercial Vastu Consultation
Offices, shops, showrooms, clinics, factories and warehouses. The consultation looks at the entrance, seating and working areas, storage and, for industrial sites, the plot and production flow, often together with the owner’s architect or plant engineer.

Sawantwadi Vastu questions answered
Can a tiled house near Moti Talav be reviewed without anyone visiting?
Yes. A sketch of the rooms, verandah and yard with rough measurements, photographs and a door compass reading are enough to start. Dr. Riddhe resolves the finer points during the video walkthrough.
How is a small lacquerware or toy workshop in Sawantwadi read?
She looks at the entrance, where the craftsman works, how raw material and finished pieces are stored, and where the owner sits. Rearrangements come first, and no sales outcome is promised.
Does an areca or cashew garden house need special attention?
The house, well and any drying yard are read from a site sketch showing gate, slope and buildings. Daily movement around the garden is considered first, and building work is not the starting point.
Can a homestay near the Goa border be reviewed online?
Yes. Send plans of the guest rooms, kitchen, dining area and owner's quarters. The reading covers how guests and family use the property, without any promise about bookings or income.
