Family constellation for Dharamshala residents
Moving to a mountain town, or growing up in one, can leave questions about belonging and family that are hard to raise at home. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi offers one-to-one family constellation online for people in Dharamshala, using small objects to represent relatives so that nobody else needs to take part.

Exploring belonging and distance through placement
In a constellation, each object stands for a family member, and the way you place them shows how the relationships appear from your side. As the arrangement shifts, you may notice who feels distant, who carries too much and where an old loyalty continues to operate.
Dr. Riddhe guides each step at a gentle pace and asks what you observe. It is not therapy, medical treatment or crisis support, and anyone in serious distress should seek qualified help too. Group sessions are held in person in Mumbai, while online work is one-to-one.

Session formats
How family constellation sessions are offered
One-to-one, online
Just you and Dr. Riddhe on video, with everyday objects representing family members.
Group sessions in person
Other participants stand in for family members. Held in person in Mumbai.
No family attendance needed
You attend on your own; the family system is represented in the session.
Reflective, not therapy
It does not diagnose or treat; it can sit alongside professional support.
Families spread across the Kangra valley and beyond
Families around Dharamshala are often spread out. A son or daughter may work in Delhi, Chandigarh or abroad, parents remain in the Kangra valley, and some relatives live in the tourism economy around McLeod Ganj. Elderly parents, shared ancestral property and long separations bring up questions of duty and fairness.
Newcomers to Dharamshala, living far from their own families, may feel a different kind of distance, one that a constellation can help them put into view. An online session in your own room gives you privacy, and items from around the house, set out on a table, serve as representatives.
Knowing the boundaries before you begin
Dharamshala draws people who have left something behind, whether a city job, a country or a family expectation. A constellation offers a calm way to look at what stays with you, without anyone being asked to take sides.

Questions & answers
Dharamshala family constellation questions
Have a different question? Ask Dr. Riddhe’s team. There is no obligation to book.
I live in Dharamshala, but my family is elsewhere. Can I still do this?
Yes. Objects represent relatives wherever they live, and no one needs to join. Distance from family is a common reason people take part, and the session works fine from a rented room.
Which objects should I gather at home?
Small, different-looking things such as coins, pebbles, buttons or figurines. Each represents one person. Dr. Riddhe will show you how to set them out in front of the camera.
Does the session replace counselling or medical care?
No. It is not therapy, medical treatment or crisis support. If you are struggling, please see a counsellor or doctor, and treat the constellation as a separate exercise in reflection.
Do group constellations take place near Dharamshala?
Group sessions are held only in person in Mumbai. For Dharamshala residents, the one-to-one online session is the usual route, and you can ask about group dates if you plan to travel.
