Vastu Consultant in Kottayam

Vastu consultation for properties in Kottayam

Kottayam describes itself through letters, latex and lakes: publishing houses and colleges in town, rubber estates on the eastern hills and the backwaters of Vembanad towards Kumarakom. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi studies Kottayam properties online, working from a plan, a compass reading at the entrance and a video tour, and fits her suggestions to the way the place is used.

Where kitchen, bedrooms and storage sit

Vastu considers how a building lies against the directions and where its door, kitchen, bedrooms, prayer corner and stairs fall in relation to one another. A review is a measured conversation about the property and about the habits of the people who live or work there.

In Kottayam, where many homes were built by families over decades and extended room by room, Dr. Riddhe seldom proposes breaking walls. She starts with the use of rooms, the position of heavy furniture and the arrangement of storage, and she mentions structural options only if you want them discussed.

Raised houses, estates and lakeside premises in Kottayam

Residential Kottayam spans town-side houses near Thirunakkara and Collectorate, apartments and villas along the roads towards Puthuppally, Nattakom and Ettumanoor, and larger family homes on rubber holdings in the hill belt towards Pala and Kanjirappally. Near the Kuttanad edge and the Meenachil river, houses are often raised above the ground to cope with seasonal water.

Business spaces include rubber trading and processing, book and printing firms, tuition and coaching centres, hospitals, hotels and resorts near Kumarakom and shops on the roads of the town centre. Each has its own questions about where the owner sits, where stock is stored and how the entrance is oriented, and these can be handled through photographs and a video call.

Flood memories, raised floors and ground-floor use

Floods in 2018 and 2019 left many Kottayam owners thinking about raised floors, drainage and the use of ground-level rooms. Dr. Riddhe takes such practical concerns seriously, and she also welcomes families who follow Thachu Shastra, Kerala's own architectural tradition, to say so during the review.
