Vastu consultation for properties in Pithoragarh
Pithoragarh sits in the Soar valley of Kumaon, close to the Nepal border and the Himalayan foothills that lead towards Munsiyari and Dharchula. Houses here climb the slopes in stepped rows. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi reads such properties remotely, beginning with a drawing and a compass reading, and keeps the advice workable for mountain living.
How a building faces direction and how its rooms are arranged
Vastu looks at how a building faces the directions and how its rooms are arranged for the people who use them. The review covers the entrance, the kitchen, sleeping rooms, the prayer corner, stores and any workspace, and asks whether each sits comfortably within the pattern of the whole plan.
On sloping land the picture needs extra care, because the high side and low side of a plot change how a house is entered and how water leaves it. Dr. Riddhe begins with light, reversible changes in use and furniture. Walls or openings are raised only when there is a sound reason, and no outcome is promised.
Terraced houses, market shops and homestays around Pithoragarh
Much of the town's housing is built on terraces cut into the hillside, with the road above one floor and below another. Families often add storeys as a household grows, so the staircase, the kitchen and the old prayer room end up in unplanned places. Government quarters, army-linked settlements and newer apartment blocks each bring their own questions.
Commercial interest in Pithoragarh comes from shopkeepers in the main market, small hotel and homestay owners serving travellers heading to Munsiyari and the Kailash Mansarovar route, and contractors working across the district. Everything is handled online: a sketch, photographs, a compass reading, then a video call.
Seismic risk, snow and why advice stays non-structural
The district lies in a high seismic region with heavy monsoon rain, and winters can be cold and snowy in the upper reaches. Dr. Riddhe keeps her suggestions light and non-structural, so a family never feels pushed towards risky alterations on a slope.

Pithoragarh Vastu questions
My Pithoragarh house has the road above the first floor. Which door counts as the main entrance?
Tell us which door the family actually uses every day and where the road meets the building. The compass reading and sketch decide how the entrance is read, so send both before the call.
Can a homestay near Pithoragarh be reviewed without a visit?
Yes. Share a layout of guest rooms, kitchen, reception and the owner's seat, with photographs and a door compass reading. A video walkthrough fills the gaps; a visit is discussed only if the project truly needs it.
Does a Pithoragarh slope change how Vastu is read?
It does add a practical layer. Dr. Riddhe looks at which side is high, where water drains and how the house is entered, then relates these to the directions instead of applying a rule mechanically.
Will you suggest breaking walls in my Pithoragarh home?
Not at the start. First comes rearranging how rooms and furniture are used. Structural changes are discussed only with reasons, and in a hill region they should always involve a qualified local builder or engineer.
