Family constellation for people in Pithoragarh
Family constellation looks at the unseen bonds and old loyalties that run through a family. For someone in Pithoragarh, Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi conducts one-to-one sessions online, where everyday objects stand in for relatives and are arranged on a surface, so you can look at your family as a whole picture.

Choosing a coin, cup or stone for each family member
In a session, you name the family members involved and choose an object for each, such as a coin, a cup or a stone. They are laid out according to how close or distant the relationships feel. Dr. Riddhe then guides you through what the arrangement reveals and how it might shift.
Relatives do not need to take part, which matters when they live far away or prefer not to join. Family constellation is not therapy, medical treatment or crisis support. Anyone in acute distress should speak to a doctor or counsellor, and use this work as a reflective extra.

Session formats
How family constellation sessions are offered
One-to-one, online
Just you and Dr. Riddhe on video, with everyday objects representing family members.
Group sessions in person
Other participants stand in for family members. Held in person in Mumbai.
No family attendance needed
You attend on your own; the family system is represented in the session.
Reflective, not therapy
It does not diagnose or treat; it can sit alongside professional support.
Distance, inheritance and home villages in Kumaon families
Family ties in the Kumaon hills are strong and often stretch across long distances. A son may work in a city plains-side while parents stay in Pithoragarh, or a daughter may be married into a village several valleys away. Land inheritance, ancestral homes and migration are common themes that families here sometimes find hard to discuss openly.
Because the session is private and one-to-one, you can speak freely without relatives listening. Everything runs on video, so you need only a table and a few small objects. Group sessions, held in person, are available only in Mumbai.
Out-migration and belonging to a home village
Pahadi families have lived with out-migration for generations, so a sense of belonging to a home village, yet living elsewhere, comes up often. This work offers space to look at that tension, but it is a reflective process, not therapy.
Simple & clear
How a one-to-one online session unfolds
- 1
Book a session
One-to-one online by video, or in person in Mumbai. Group sessions are held in Mumbai.
- 2
Name the theme
Describe the family pattern or relationship you want to look at, briefly and at your own pace.
- 3
Guided constellation
The family is represented with objects or participants, and the relationships are explored step by step.
- 4
Time to reflect
You take away perspectives to think about. It is reflective work, not therapy or treatment.
A flat surface and about ten small objects
Find a quiet room and a flat surface such as a table or a bed. Collect about ten small objects of different sizes, such as spoons, keys, stones or buttons. Write down the family members you want to discuss, and decide what you hope to understand. Video must be steady enough for Dr. Riddhe to see the layout.

Questions & answers
Family constellation questions, Pithoragarh
Have a different question? Ask Dr. Riddhe’s team. There is no obligation to book.
My parents live in a village near Pithoragarh and will not join. Can I still do a session?
Yes. Only you need to attend. Objects represent your parents and other relatives, so the work can go ahead even when they are unaware of it or live far from a phone signal.
Can a family constellation address a dispute over ancestral land?
It can help you see your own position and feelings within the family. It does not settle legal ownership. For the property itself, you would need a lawyer and, where relevant, family agreement.
What objects should I keep ready for a Pithoragarh session?
Around ten small household items, such as spoons, stones, keys or coins, will do. Choose different sizes so each one can stand for a different person, then keep them within arm's reach.
Are group family constellations possible for people in Pithoragarh?
Group sessions are held in person in Mumbai only. For Pithoragarh, the one-to-one online format is the available route, and it keeps the conversation private and unhurried.
