Vastu consultation for properties in Vasai

Vasai is an old Portuguese-era settlement that has grown into a dense suburban belt along the Western line. Its properties range from compact flats near the station to family houses in the green wadis. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi studies each of them remotely, beginning with the drawing and the direction the front door faces.

Using directions to read a flat or independent house

Vastu, as practised here, is a way of reading how a home or workplace is organised against the compass: the position of the entrance, the kitchen, the sleeping rooms, the storage areas and the open spaces. The review asks whether that arrangement suits the people who live there and how they use each room through the day.

Dr. Riddhe begins with modest, reversible steps, such as rearranging furniture, changing which room is used for what, or clearing a blocked corner. Anything larger is raised only with a reason. The review gives an honest reading rather than a promise about what will happen in your life.

Society flats, village houses and wadi land in Vasai

Housing in Vasai is a layered mix. Around Vasai Road station and Papdy, mid-rise apartment societies sit close together, and buyers usually inherit a fixed floor plan. Older families in the East Indian Catholic villages live in houses with sloping roofs, courtyards and small gardens that were laid out long before modern building codes.

Beyond the town, many families own a wadi growing bananas, flowers or vegetables, and a house or farm shed that sits within it. Vasai East also has industrial estates with workshops and small factories. Owners across these categories can send a sketch and photographs, and the discussion then happens over a video call.

Salt breeze, damp walls and cramped balconies

The creek, salt-laden breeze and long monsoon in Vasai make damp walls and cramped balconies a routine concern. The review keeps those conditions in mind when it comments on ventilation and the use of corner spaces.
