A Vastu course designed for learners in Kochi

Kochi builds constantly, from apartment towers to waterfront offices, and architects and interior designers here are frequently asked about Vastu by clients. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi offers a course that explains the principles, teaches how to read a plan, and favours corrections that leave existing structures intact.

Learning to read directions and layouts

The syllabus covers directions, zones and the five elements, followed by reading and orienting a floor plan. Further sessions apply the principles to homes, offices and commercial spaces, and show how to suggest corrections, starting with the least disruptive ones, such as rearranging rooms, furniture and storage.

Whether the batch is in person in Mumbai or online, its dates, duration and fees are shared on enquiry. No certification is claimed. Dr. Riddhe recommends practising on real plans after the course, since confidence in this subject comes mainly from repeated application and from comparing notes with others.

Designers, builders and homeowners in Kochi

For Kochi learners the course suits architects and interior designers who handle flats and villas, civil contractors, and homeowners planning a build or renovation. The ability to read a plan against the compass, and to talk about it knowledgeably, helps professionals who serve families that ask about Vastu at the first meeting.

It will also interest people who want to start practising later, including retired professionals and those with careers in shipping, banking or IT. Kerala has its own architectural tradition, Thachu Shastra, which is not what this course teaches; participants familiar with it are welcome to bring their questions and compare ideas respectfully.

Attending from afar: your two options

Kochi's compact plots, shared walls in apartments and waterfront constraints mean designers rarely get an ideal site. Learning how to work with imperfect orientations, rather than demand a perfect one, is directly useful for people building in the city.

Questions & answers

Vastu course questions from Kochi

Have a different question? Ask Dr. Riddhe’s team. There is no obligation to book.

Can an interior designer in Kochi take the course online?

Yes, an online format is offered alongside in-person batches in Mumbai. Dr. Riddhe shares the next dates, duration and fees when you enquire, and you choose the mode that fits your workload.

Does the Vastu course replace Thachu Shastra training?

No. It teaches Vastu Shastra and does not claim to teach Thachu Shastra. Learners familiar with Kerala's tradition can ask questions and compare, but the course remains a separate subject with its own approach.

Will I be able to advise clients after completing the course?

The course gives a sound foundation, and practice on real plans afterwards is strongly recommended before advising others. No certificate is claimed, so please do not present it as a formal qualification.

Are corrections in the course always structural?

No. Non-destructive corrections come first, such as altering the use of rooms, furniture placement and storage. Structural suggestions are discussed last, and only where a client genuinely wants to consider them.
