Vastu Consultant in Pondicherry

Vastu consultation for properties in Pondicherry

Pondicherry, officially Puducherry, a Union Territory on the Bay of Bengal coast, has an unusual mix of French-era streets, Tamil neighbourhoods and newer apartment blocks. Dr. Riddhe Sshilpi reviews properties here online, working from a plan, a door compass reading and photographs, followed by a video walkthrough.

Small reversible changes before structural ones

A Vastu review starts with orientation: which way the property faces and how each room sits relative to the others. In Pondicherry, where plots on a street grid often have deep, narrow shapes, the position of entrances, inner courtyards, staircases and kitchens takes most of the attention.

Advice is arranged from the easiest step to the hardest. Rearranging how rooms are used, adjusting storage and rethinking daily routines come first. Alterations to walls are discussed only for new building or planned renovation, and many layouts need little or no change.

Courtyard houses and coastal apartments in Pondicherry

The older part of town is known for long houses with tall shuttered windows, verandahs and internal courtyards behind a street facade. Many are now homes, guesthouses, cafes or small boutiques, and a single building may serve several uses, which makes a careful room-by-room reading important.

Outside the old grid, the Union Territory has a range of independent houses, gated plots and apartment complexes, along with small industrial estates. A coastal climate with humidity and monsoon rain also shapes how buildings are used. Where a visit is useful for a larger project, it can be discussed after the online review.

Respect for the Tamil building tradition

The surrounding Tamil country has a respected building tradition, including the Mayamata, and Dr. Riddhe acknowledges it with respect. Her advice follows the common Vastu Shastra framework, and it takes the character of heritage-style houses into account.
